Dorothy Osborne McGraw

Mrs. Dorothy Osborne McGraw, 93, of Winston-Salem, a special angel, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born May 12, 1916 in Guilford County to Homer and Lucretia Weisner Osborne. Mrs. McGraw was a member of Clemmons Moravian Church. She retired in 1978 from Western Electric with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peyton McGraw; a brother, Joseph Osborne; a sister, Delois Davis; and a grandson, Randy McGraw, Sr. Surviving is a son, Paul E. McGraw; a special granddaughter, which she referred to fondly as her pot of gold, LuAnn Smith and husband Paul; a great grandson, Randy McGraw, Jr; and Randy's mother, Shannon Simpson and sister Dakota. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Clemmons Moravian Church, 3560 Spangenburg Avenue, Clemmons, NC 27012 or Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
