Dorothy Louise King Lawson

Mrs. Dorothy Louise King Lawson, 91, passed away Wednesday January 1, 2014 at her residence. She was born March 25, 1922 in Stokes County to Orange Columbus King and Bertha Ann Joyce King. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Lawson. Surviving is one daughter, Debbie Dedmon and husband Bill of Lawndale, NC; one son, Byron Lawson and wife Carol of Leland, NC; two granddaughters, Ashley Desmarais and husband Chris, Kelli Hawkins and husband Matt; five great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00AM Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC with Dr. Gus Thomas and Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150 or to Life Enrichment Center, 110 Life Enrichment Center Blvd., Shelby, NC 28150.
