Dorothy Smith Green

Mrs. Dorothy Smith Green, 82, of Mocksville, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Trinity Elms in Clemmons. Mrs. Green was born June 29, 1933 in Davie County to Enoch Washington and Mary Starr Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alexander Green; a grandson, Daniel Channer and three brothers, Bud, George and Grant Smith. Surviving are two sons, Larry Green and wife Debra of Smithfield and Richard Green and wife Cindy of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Cindy Channer and husband David of Boise, ID; twelve grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two sisters, Eva Mae Troutman and Jettie Carter. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4260 Clinard Rd., Clemmons, NC 27012 with Bishop Nathaniel Ivers officiating. Burial will follow at Salem United Methodist Church in Mocksville. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. on Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel.
