Dorothy “Elaine” Wilson, 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, October 11, 2024.
Elaine was born to Margaret Spence Richardson and the late William C. Spence on September 16, 1957, in Abbeville, SC.
Elaine was a very caring person and always wanted to help others. She worked in the medical field for many years as a Forsyth County EMT, Cardiopulmonary and Respiratory Technician, and later fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse at Forsyth Medical Center. She retired after working ten more years with the American Red Cross.
She was a proud military wife and participated and lead the NC Air National Guard support groups for military families during Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom. She taught many classes such as ceramic painting and holiday crafting within the Military Deployment Support Group.
Elaine leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 35 years, Ray L. Wilson. Together, they would have been celebrating their 36th Anniversary in December. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Margaret Spence Richardson; daughters, Elizabeth Gray (Shannon Willard), Kimberly Burgess, Michelle Salter(Michael); and sisters, Helen Moore(Kelly), and Billie-Sue Davidson (Brad).
Elaine was blessed to have six grandchildren; Kayla, Kristen, Kimberly, Madison, Lauryn and Lilly, as well as seven great-grandchildren; Brayden, Klair, Zoey, Tori, Skyla, Jonas, and Annessa.
The family will receive visitors at Hayworth Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
There will be a private graveside service for the family at 11am on October 17, 2024, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
