Dorothy "Dot" Ramsey Caudle

Dorothy “Dot” Ramsey Caudle, age 93, beloved wife, mother, grandmother (nana), and great grandmother, entered heaven’s gate on March 23, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Dot was born in Winston-Salem on September 25, 1931, to Victor Vance and Myrtle Fulk Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her parents; and dear sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and A.G. Carmichael. Surviving are her loving and caring husband, Hassell Caudle; sons, Dennis (Jeannie) Caudle of High Point, and Kevin (Dawn) Caudle of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Ramsey Caudle, Zach Caudle (partner Lauren Rust) and Seth Caudle (Keri); precious great grandsons, Cohen and Caleb Caudle; and several nieces and nephews. Dot met Hassell while attending Mineral Springs High School where she excelled on the basketball court. After graduation they married and settled into a wonderful life in Winston-Salem and later Rural Hall. After a long and fulfilling career with Wachovia Bank, Dot retired and was able to do what she loved most, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who adored her. There was nothing “nana” wouldn’t do for them. The annual vacations at Emerald Isle were the highlight of each year. A women of deep faith she was a lifelong member of Crestwood Baptist Church and sang in the choir until her health declined. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:45 in the Crestwood Baptist Church Chapel 530 Motor Rd Winston-Salem, NC. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 in the Crestwood Baptist Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the wonderful care provided by Trellis and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
