Dorothy Doby

Mrs. Dorothy Gail Ketner Doby, 66, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on November 4, 1951 in Fosyth County to William and Dorothy Tucker Ketner. Mrs. Doby was a sweet and loving mother and had true love for her grandchildren. She was caring, kind, and virtuous. Mrs. Doby was full of wit and patience. She was a fantastic cook. Mrs. Doby was preceded in death by her parents. Suriving are her husband of 42 years Bobby Doby; one daughter, Leigh Mueller and husband Nathan, one son, Matthew Doby and wife Amber; five grandchildren, Dalton Oliver, Kaley Mueller, Dylan Doby, Petey Doby, Kamryn Mueller; three sisters, Brenda Harper and husband Richard, JoAnn Totten, Betty Lewis and husband David; a multitude of "adopted" grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Boyer's Chapel Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Harper and Mr. Brian Poindexter officiating. The family will receive friends at Mr. Doby's home following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
