KERNERSVILLE- Dorothy Mae Gypsy Clark,""Dot"", 91, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation. She was born December 15, 1918 in Wake Co. to the late John and Males Dwiggins Clark. Dot was a member of Cherry Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville. She was a graduate of Kernersville High School class of 1939, and retired after 54 years of service with Adams Millis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Wilson, Margaret Clark; and one niece, Gypsy Wilson Lewis. Surviving are one nephew, Clark Wilson and wife Judy of Winston Salem; one great-nephew, Darrell Cain of Walnut Cove and wife, Maria of Kernersville; three great- nieces, Donna Cavanaugh of Walnut Cove, Jennifer Lowe and husband Jeff of Belews Creek, Terri-Lu Mabe and husband, Phillip of Walkertown; and four great-great- nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Memorials may be made to either, Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or to the charity of the donor's choice. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation for their continual care and compassion that was shown during Dot's stay; also Hospice for their support and extra attention they provided in her final days in this life.
