Doris Barnes Tuttle

KERNERSVILLE Doris Barnes Tuttle, 77, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1933 in Nash Co. to the late Charles Bennett and Samantha Joyner Barnes. Mrs. Tuttle retired from Winston Salem Forsyth Co. School System after many years of service, spending most of her career at Kernersville Elementary School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Ray Tuttle; her son, Kim Alan Tuttle and two brothers. Surviving are her granddaughter, Joey Nicole Tuttle of Winston Salem; one great-grandson, Nicolas Alan Geller; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Kaye Geller both of Winston Salem; two sisters, Shelby Boone and husband, Carl, Margaret Martin; two brothers, Charles Barnes and wife, Emily, and Jack Barnes and wife, Faye. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
