Mrs. Doris Foster Wooten Sattenfield, 93, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born on May 21, 1922 in Forsyth County to Henry N. and Mary Brown Foster. Doris was a lifelong member of Pine Chapel Moravian Church where she was head Deiner for 11 years as well as president of Senior Friends and Women of the Church. Doris loved traveling and had been the trip director for her church. She was an avid bowler and was on the board of Director of the USBC Bowling Assoc. Doris was retired from Cooks Department store as office manager. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Thomas E. Wooten; second husband, William C. Sattenfield; one son Bobby G. Wooten; three brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by one son, Ronald E. Wooten of Clemmons; one daughter, Jean Wooten of the home; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Wooten; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Pine Chapel Moravian Church with Rev. James Demby and Rev. Tim Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at Pine Chapel Moravian from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Melissa Morales and Marolina Whitehead for their compassionate care for Doris] during the past 14 months.
