Doris Wallace Long

COLFAX - Mrs. Doris Wallace Long, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Doris was born December 6, 1926 in Guilford County to the late Edward Lee and Allie Gibson Wallace. She retired from Eastern Star Masonic Home in Greensboro. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Long; sisters, Helen Wyrick and Billie Andrews; twin sisters, Hildred Reeder and Mildred Moore; and a brother, Wesley Wallace. Surviving are her daughter, Carol Nuckles (husband, Waynard); two grandchildren, Wendy Barham (husband, Adrian) and Brandon Nuckles (wife, Lindsay); two great grandchildren, Joseph and MacKenzie Barham; one sister, Margaret Bartenfield; and one brother, Edward Lee Wallace Jr. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Sandy Ridge Cemetery with Rev.
