Doris Sloan

Mrs. Doris Johnson Sloan, 87, passed away at Piney Grove Nursing Home on May 15, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1934, to Luther and Thelma Moore Johnson in Forsyth County. She was a member of Macedonia Moravian Church where she had many friends and a supportive church family. Doris was a homemaker who also used her gifts to help those in need of care. She especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Sloan. Surviving are her son, Jay Johnson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Johnson; and grandson, Cale Johnson. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Zach Dease officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown.
