Doris Stalls Ingalls

Mrs. Doris Stalls Ingalls, 88, passed away October 24, 2014. She was born October 12, 1926 in Martin County, NC to the late Robert Stalls and Lillian Gurganus Stalls. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Ingalls and her daughter, Brenda Jean Jones. Mrs. Ingalls spent the last several years at Heritage Woods where she had many friends. She was a charter member of Konnoak Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Marilynn Cooper and husband John; three grandchildren, Michelle McPherson of Cedar Rapids, IA, Guy Allen Jones III of Raleigh, and Phillip Langeberg and wife Melissa of McGaheysville, VA; two great-granddaughters, Kayla and Brianna McPherson; three sisters, Becky White and husband Wayne of Williamston, NC, Gloria Arthur of Nashville, NC, Betty Jean White of Windsor, NC; a brother, Robert Green of Rocky Point, NC; A brother-in-law, Merritt Mizelle of Chesapeake, VA. Mrs. Ingalls would like to thank three special friends, Grace Smith, Barbara Yancey, and Kathleen McInvaille and her caregiver, Sandy Hodges. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. John Bishop officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Mrs. Ingalls request that ABSOLUTELY no flowers be sent for her service, that instead donations be made to the Samaritan Soup Kitchen, 1243 Patterson Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
