Doris Mae Fish

Mrs. Doris Mae Fish, 75, of Advance passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1933 in Forsyth County to James Atlas and Pearl Logan Cecil. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Fish was a member of First Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and took great pride in looking after her husband and other people that needed her services. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Louise and a brother James A. Cecil, Jr. Surviving are two sons, Michael Fish and Joan of Pfafftown, Ricky Dwain Fish and wife, Merrilie of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Courtney L. Fish, Zachary Fish, Lauren Trevino, Anna Winnicki, and Alex Winnicki; a brother, R. E. Bowman, of Winston-Salem; and a special great nephew, Jamie Fish, of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday at Woodland Cemetery with Dr. David Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 - 12:30 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
