Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Stoker Everhart passed away June 14, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Doris was born on May 19, 1928 to Quincy Watson Stoker, Sr., and Myrtle Lou Jenkins Stoker in Forsyth County. She was a past member of Konnoak Baptist Church and retired from Western Electric. She also worked in sales at Sears and Hecht's in Hanes Mall. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Everhart; former husband, William Keeton; three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include her children, Dennis Keeton (Melissa), David Keeton (Margaret), Carol Keeton (James McCollum), Phillip Everhart (Becky), Susan Petty (Gene); ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lee Rothrock; special niece and friend, Shirley Butt and Jesse Nelson. A celebration of Doris' life will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, June 17, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Ray Keeton officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice or Forsyth County Humane Society. The family would like to thank Springwood Care, and Forsyth Medical Center's Palliative Care and Hospice Unit for the fine care Doris received.
