Ms. Doris Marie Tuttle Ziglar Drake, 93, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2024, at Village Care of King. She was born February 8, 1931, in Forsyth County to the late Grady Bitting Tuttle and Jonie Lucinda Vanhoy Tuttle. How do you sum up the life of a 93-year-old Lady? BLESSED! For those of you who knew her, you were Blessed! Doris was known for her love of God, family and many friends. If you knew her, you would love her. She lived life to the fullest with her many roles as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Oh, how she loved the great-grandchildren. She loved to sing about Jesus and never failed to ask you if you knew him. She could open that direct line to Jesus and pray the sweetest and sometimes the longest prayer you’ve ever heard. To know her was to love her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Jack Ziglar; second husband Glen Drake; granddaughter, Allison Reich; brother, Leon Tuttle; Sister, Earlene Collins.
She is survived by a son, Mark Ziglar (Dianne); one daughter, Gail Welborn (Ken); two grandsons, Kendall Ziglar (Christina), one step-son, Dusty Welborn (Kristi), one great-grand son, Kooper Ziglar; one great-granddaughter, Charlize Marie Reich; two step children, Suzanne Miller (Bruce), and Glen Drake (Debbie); three step grandchildren, Debbie Whitfield (Brian), Bryan Albrant, and Amy Albrant; and three step great-grandchildren, Logan Whitfield, Tanner and Tate Welborn. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Daniel Ritchie Officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
