Doris McNeill Daniel

Mrs. Doris McNeill Daniel, 85, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born October 23, 1926 in Star, NC, the daughter of the late, Julian E. and Gaynell McGarity Carnes. Mrs. Daniel was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on the Prayer Room Committee. She was retired from AT&T. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Myrton B. Daniel and her daughter, Tommie Jean McNeill. Survivors include one daughter, Carol M. Vick and husband, Brad of Winston-Salem and one granddaughter, Ashley Shore of Greensboro. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1210 Bolton Street, SW, Winston-Salem with Rev. Brett Cogan officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:45 PM. at the church.
