Doris Jean Watson Brown

BROWN RURAL HALL, Mrs. Doris Jean Watson Brown, 74 of Edwards Rd. passed away Monday, February 2, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Brown was born in Atlanta, GA. on June 16, 1934 the daughter of the late Thomas and Maude Powell Watson. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Thomas Brown, Jr. Surviving is her husband of 59 years Emmett Mitchel Brown of the home, two daughters Kathleen (Corey) Lynch of Rural Hall and Donna Jean (Danny) Bodsford, three sons David (Marci) Brown of Kernersville, Daryl Brown of Pfafftown and Daniel Brown, fourteen grandchildren including David, Becki, Alan, Nicholas, Emily, Mitch and Austin. A Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Chaplain Rennie Adcock officiating. The Brown family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. In-lieu-of flowers Memorial Donations are requested to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3800 Shamrock Dr., #10 Branscomb Bldg., Charlotte, NC 28215-3220
