Doris Wilkins Brown

Mrs. Doris Lee Wilkins Brown, 90, was called home to find eternal peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 18, 2015. She was born in Winston-Salem to the late Ethel Bates Wilkins and David Turner Wilkins. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her soul mate and husband of 60 years, Arlie Brown. She leaves behind her two dear brothers, Ray Wilkins (Addie Mae) and Don Wilkins (Janet) as well as her children, Wanda Lemons (Gwynn), Sue Miller (Robert), Garry Brown (Joann) and Chris Brown. She was also blessed with 6 wonderful grandchildren and 9 beautiful great grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 prior to a funeral service to be held at 2:00 PM in the Hayworth Miller Winston-Salem Chapel with the Reverend Tim Wolfe of First Pentecostal Holiness Church officiating.
She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing.
