BRANDON - KING Mrs. Doris Mildred Shore Brandon passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1920 in Forsyth County to the late Hessie Jayne Edwards Shore and Squire Nelson Shore. Mrs. Brandon dedicated her life to her Savior and family. She was a faithful Christian who wrote Christian tracks and witnessed to many. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brandon was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Brandon; sister, Eunice Billings; and great-grandson, Wendell Martin. She is survived by her five children, Jane Browder (Harold), Jim Brandon (Alice), David Brandon (Faye), Terry Brandon (Brenda), and Gale Richardson (Dale); twelve grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great, great-grandchildren; special friend, Louise Simmons; and a host of special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 12 noon on Tuesday, February 21 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Terry Brandon and Don Wallace, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Stokes County, P.O.
