Doris Roberson Beeson

Kernersville - Mrs. Doris Roberson Beeson, 93, of Kernersville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Forsyth County on December 4, 1922 to Edgar and Beulah Martin Roberson. She was a faithful member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She loved visiting the sick and homebound.

Mrs. Beeson was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Braxton Beeson; son, Gary Keith Beeson; brother, Edwin Aldene Roberson; and parents.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two children, Dwight M. Beeson (Janet) and Paula B. Lemons (Jimmy) also of Kernersville. She is also survived by her sister, Myrtle R. Meadows; four grandchildren, Daniel Beeson (Ailene), Wesley Lemons (Laura), Kathryn Hamm (Dwayne), and Jordan Lemons (Amanda); and five great-grandchildren, Lillie Lemons, Avery Beeson, LuLu Lemons, Charlie Ann Lemons, and Harrison Hamm.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Roberson and Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the caregivers we have had over the last few months. Memorials may be given to Union Grove Baptist Church, 5424 Union Grove Rd, Oak Ridge, NC, 27310.
