Dori Letitia Roberson

The treasured life of Dori Letitia Roberson, 52 transitioned to glory on Friday, April 24, 2015, at her home in Kernersville, a native of Chicago, IL. Ms. Roberson studied Education at Forsyth Technical Community College and Winston Salem State University in North Carolina. She completed her program of study to receive her BA in Education on May 15, 2015. She moved from Chicago, IL. to Kernersville, NC in 1990. She was employed for 17 years with Winston Salem Forsyth County Schools, at East Forsyth High School as a bus driver and Teacher Assistant/Occupational Preparation Assistant. Ms. Roberson worked with the JROTC, the Occupational Course of Study (OCS) and was a core advisor to the Black Student Alliance. Ms. Roberson's life indeed permeated with purpose, painted its own picture, edited its own story and left its own memory as a wonderful and loving mother, devoted sister, adoring aunt and inseparable friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, and older brother Michael Roberson. She leaves to cherish with loving memories her beloved son, Marcus Roberson and wife Cindy; her twin sister, Donna Roberson; two older sisters, Diann Stoakley and friend Cynthia, Denise Roberson; two brothers, Gregory Roberson and wife Katherine; Daniel Thomas; a dear and special friend, Larry Robinson; a close and beloved niece, KeOnna Roberson as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at her church, St. Peters World Outreach Center with Pastor Walter Lee Randolph and Pastor Jayson Sloan officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel
