Mrs. Dora Dudley Turner, 92, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born November 16, 1929, in Forsyth County to the late Calvin and Viola Dudley. Dora retired from Western Electric after 27 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Dora was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Egbert Alvin Turner, Sr.; son, Bobby Turner; six brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by one sister, Dixie Coffey; four children; Alvin Turner (Sharon), Roland Turner, Tommy Turner, and David Turner, Sr. (Flor); six grandchildren, Shannon Turner (Shannon), Terry Turner (Joann), Melissa Turner, Grant Turner (Laura), David Turner, Jr., and Amy (Bradley); 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and a church grandbaby, Susanna. The family would like to thank Marcy Daye at Forsyth Medical Center and Emily Evans of Mountain Valley Hospice. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00AM Friday, September 16, 2022, at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Leone officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church.
