Donny Wilson Drane

Mr. Donny Wilson Drane, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at his home. He was born in Forsyth Co. on December 13, 1940 the son of the late Glenn Robert Drane and Fannie Irene Blakely Drane. Donny was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church in Pinnacle and was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. In addition to his parents Donny was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Drane. Donny is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela Burge Drane of the home, one son; Don Andrew ""Andy"" Drane (Karen) of Pinnacle, two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy; Emily Drane and Derrick Drane, six sisters; Becky Watkins (Richard), Sandra Yarboro, Glenda Hall (Roger), Debbie Jones (Don), Beth Slate and Shannon Piva (Rico), six brothers; Bobby Drane, Terry Drane, Tony Drane (Donna), Jeff Drane, Todd Drane (Tina) and Robbie Drane and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Olive Grove Baptist Church in Pinnacle with Rev. Mitchell Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
