Donnie Proctor

Kernersville- Donnie G Proctor, 74, was called home by our Lord on July 17, 2022. He was born to Offie Lee Proctor and Katherine Proctor on September 3, 1947, in Rocky Mount, NC. Donnie was a master forklift mechanic for over forty years. His loves in life were fishing, his wife, and his family, but we will never know the order of the three. Donnie will be remembered for his quick wit, and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a lover of the outdoors and could always be found prepping for his next fishing trip. Donnie never met a stranger and was the life of the party.

In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his younger brother, Danny Proctor; younger sister, Charlotte Smith; as well as his granddaughter, AJ.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rebecca Proctor; sisters Mary Carey and Ann Kornegay; six children, Donna Miller, Robyn Bridges, Shari Woodard, Justin Strange, Cory Strange, Renee Lake; fourteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on July 30, 2022, at Kernersville Church of Christ with Eddie Clark officiating, with a gathering to follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
