Donnette "Donne" Hartsell

Mrs. Donnette”Donne” Andis Hartsell, 69, lost her battle to cancer Saturday August 27, 2022. She was born July 19, 1953, in San Antonio Texas to Jeannine D. Andis. Donne loved her job as a catering director for Sagebrush and truly enjoyed working with the public. She was an avid reader and collector of books, and in her later years enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, as well as her dog, Redd. Donne was preceded in death by two grandsons; Colten Smith and Joshua Speer, a granddaughter; Bella Marie Hotchkiss, and four brothers; Duncan, Marcus, Michael, and Frank Andis. She is survived by her three daughters; Audre Smith, Danika Speer (Jimmy), and Jennifer McDonald (Andy), nine grandchildren; Christopher, Cierra, Dalton, Will, Jonathan (Meghan), Hannah, Madalyn, Ada, and Shep, her great-granddaughter; Alayna Pope her Mother; Jeannine D. Andis, five siblings; Nina Williams, Fred Andis, Rene` Duncan, Damon Andis, and Nanci Ramirez, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her long-time companion Greg Gordon of 22 years. The family will receive friends to celebrate her life Saturday September 3, 2022, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Family Services of Forsyth County, 1200 S Broad St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
