Donna Leigh Williams

Miss Donna Leigh Williams, 51, a loving and kind hearted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at her residence in the presence of her family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 1, 1957 in Forsyth County to James D. Williams and Shirley Flynn Williams. She was a 1975 graduate of West Forsyth High School. From high school she worked for Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Moses Cone Hospital and at Sam's Club at the time she was diagnosed with cancer. She enjoyed knitting, fishing, and yard sales, but her greatest joy in life were her pets. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley F. Williams and her grandparents. Survivors, to cherish her memories are her father, Mr. Don Williams of Clemmons; brother, Jim Williams (Keri) of Lexington; nephew, Benjamin C. Williams and niece Kaci M. Williams, both of Lexington; aunt Reba Swanwick of Chiefland, Florida; life time friend LuAnn Hinshaw of Clemmons; her care giver Roy Fischer of Winston-Salem; cousins, Amanda Dull (Phillip) of Lewisville, Ellen Griffith of Advance, Karen Montgomery (Rick) of Winston-Salem, Richard Williams (Mary) of Raleigh, Bobby Swanwick (Paula) of Chiefland, Florida, and Dino Swanwick of Brandon, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
