Donna Gail Whitaker

Ms. Donna Gail Whitaker, 56, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born on November 14, 1959 in Lexington, NC to Charles H. and Shirley Sapp Whitaker. Ms. Whitaker was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed arranging flowers. Ms. Whitaker worked for a period of time at the Enrichment Center and the relationships she formed there were special to her. She enjoyed helping others and was very generous to those folks less fortunate than she. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Taylor Norman. She is survived by two sons, Benjamin Norman and wife Brenna, Rhyne Norman; one sister, Sheree Warren and husband Charles; one brother, Ken Whitaker and wife Tommie; numerous nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Gene Chitwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
