Donald "Donnie" Pollard

Mr. Donald “Donnie” Clifton Pollard, 74, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born April 7, 1948 in Danville, VA to Garland and Helen Pollard. He retired from AT&T after many years of service and led music at Kerwin Baptist Church in Kernersville for 15 years. Mr. Pollard was a faithful member and deacon of Center Grove Baptist Church where he later worked and retired as the facilities manager. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter Pollard. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jean Gravett Pollard; three sons, David Pollard (Ashley), Chad Pollard (Dawn) and Jeremy Pollard (Tiffany); 13 grandchildren; one sister, Joan Spicer (Curtis) and a brother, Freddie Pollard. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Center Grove Baptist Church. A private family service will be held at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
