Donald Still

Walnut Cove – Donald Glenis Still, 78, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 27, 2021. He was born in Rockingham County, NC to the late Paul and Mattie Baker Still. Donald had a love for golfing and fishing. He was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and spent 30 years driving in the bus ministries. He was a Marine who served his country proudly for four years. Donald was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ferguson Still, and a brother, Norman Still.

Left to cherish his memory are, a son, Donald Wayne Still (Candy) of Tampa, FL; a daughter, Teresa Diane Collins (Marty) of Winston-Salem, NC; three grandchildren, Tyler Collins, Carson Still, and Zachary Stewart (Kayla); one great-grandchild, Haylee Stewart; two brothers, Raymond Still and Sterling Still; three sisters-in-law, Pat Still, Carolyn Carrick (Don), and Glenda Barker; and two special nieces, Tammy Hutchings and Samantha Hutchings.

With social distancing observed and masks requested, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Gospel Light Baptist Church. He will be available to view from 1:00-1:45 PM prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
