Mr. Donald “Scott” Spann, 59, passed away Tuesday July 4, 2023. He was born August 28, 1963 to Donna Rea Cooke, and the late Donald James Spann in Forsyth County. Scott loved riding motorcycles, boating and most opportunities to be outside. He was also a friend to all who knew him volunteering his time to NA, AA, and helping with a Bible study in the local jail. Scott enjoyed shooting pool and was in a league. Another hobby was shopping, some could say that his excessive buying could have made him a shopaholic. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a nephew; Jayce Haverkos, and a niece; Kristin Spear. In addition to his mother he is survived by his four siblings; Tracy Estep, Shannon Michael (Cory), Shawn Cooke (Heather), and Dawn Mclamb (Charlie), a special Aunt, Sue Sue, five nieces and nephews; Summer Williams (Jacob), Megan Wiles, Ryan Waycaster, Kelsei Cooke, and Cameron Cooke, 12 great-nieces and nephews, and his step father; Jeff Tingle, and his best friend and loyal dog Jack’s. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00PM Sunday July 9, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
