Donald Ray Simmons

Mr. Donald Ray Simmons, 62, of Yadkinville, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 5, 1947 in Forsyth County to Ralph and Annie Frye Simmons. Mr. Simmons was employed with Piedmont Sheet Metal. He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving are his father, Ralph Simmons of Winston-Salem; one daughter, Donna Simmons Whitaker (Gene) of Yadkinville; siblings, Sandra Whitaker, Patricia Wahfeldt (Melvin), Dwight Simmons (Peggy), all of Winston-Salem and Billy Simmons (Sharon) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Tony and Austin Whitaker and seven nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Rev. E. Lee Ellis and Rev. Doug Hochmuth officiating.
