Donald Ray Plemmons

Lewisville- Mr. Donald Ray Plemmons, 65, went home to be with The Lord on August 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1946 in Forsyth County to Woodrow Wilson Plemmons and Florence Mathis Plemmons. He was a graduate of West Forsyth High School and was retired from Hanes Printables Northridge Distributing Plant in Rural Hall. Donnie was in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Wilson Plemmons and a brother, Jimmy Plemmons, and a sister, Vicky Plemmons. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Nancy Myers Plemmons of the home; three children, Kenny (Amy), Rebecca, and Jerry (Kendra); his mother, Florence Mathis ""Petie"" Plemmons; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Katlin, Logan, Jada, Titus, Xia, and Elias; nieces and nephews, Terri, Gray, Melissa, and Jason. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Clemmons with burial following at Grace Baptist Church in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
