Donald Ray McKnight

Mr. Donald Ray McKnight, 71 of Clemmons, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011. Donald was born August 1, 1940 in Forsyth County to the late Hobart D. and Mary Sykes McKnight. He was retired from Old Town Carpet and attended Center Grove Baptist Church, Where he was a member of the Praise Worship Sunday School Class. Donald was an avid outdoorsman and love NASCAR Racing. In addition to his parents, Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Wiles and a brother, Tommy McKnight. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Katherine Heagy McKnight of the home, two sons, Michael McKnight and wife Laura of Pfafftown, Danny McKnight and wife, Jennifer of Clemmons, two grandsons; Jonathan and Jack McKnight, two sisters, Diana Grubbs and husband, Steven of Rural Hall and Florence Cauley and husband, Louis of Mississippi. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Saturday, September 3 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow in the Hayworth-Miller Chapel at 12:30 pm officiated by Mr. Rusty Goff and Rev. Bryan Miller. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the India Children's Home Fund, in care of Center Grove Baptist Church, 5700 Center Grove Church Road, Clemmons, NC. 27012
