Donald Gordon Massengill

Mr. Donald Gordon Moulton Massengill, 76, of Clemmons went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his home. He was born April 19, 1938 in Houston, TX to Carroll Ernest and Virginia Prince Rawls Moulton. Mr. Massengill retired from Amp Inc. with 30 years of service. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his adopted parents, Katherine Smith and Wayland Massengill; two brothers, Edward Moulton and Richard Moulton Barney and a sister Lucille Hill. He is survived by his wife, Linda Brandon Massengill of the home; two daughters, Pam Howerton (Russell) of Advance and Sherri Felton (Richard) of Clemmons; two sons, Craig Massengill (Cyndi) of Clemmons and David Massengill also of Clemmons; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Coppola (Roman), Amanda Furches (Marcus Herring); Zoe and Gwyneth Howerton; Chelsea and Chad Felton and John and Rachel Massengill; two great grandchildren, Pascale and Marcello Coppola; two brothers, Robert Moulton Board (Rosemary) and Wayland Massengill (Nancy) and two sisters, Beverly McLaughin (Bill) and Sue Moulton Mindler and multiple nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Q. Ray Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
