Donald Jones

Mr. Donald “Don” Gray Jones, 83, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2020 at Alston Brook Nursing Facility.  He was born in Winston Salem, NC on April 6, 1937 to the late Griffith and Esther Jones. He was a member of the National Guard. Don worked for over 32 years at RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and retired in 1987.  He was a past Master at Enterprise Masonic Lodge 752 in Clemmons, NC and an active member since 1988. Don was a loyal supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children as well as Disabled Veterans and the VFW. Don was preceded in death 34 years ago by his wife Sandra Copley Jones and in 2017 by his special companion Druscilla Davis.  Surviving are his two daughters, Donna Manuel (Ralph) and Diane Wimmer (Woody) and four grandchildren, Cameron Manuel (Amanda), Chase Manuel (Lauren), Corey Manuel (Brittney), and Austin Beck (Chappy) as well as three great-granddaughters, Lexi, Ella and Addyson. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Parklawn Memorial Park.
