Donald "Don" Eugene Utterback

     Mr. Donald “Don” Eugene Utterback, 86, passed away on June 16, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on July 11, 1936, in Ohio to the late James and Florence Utterback. Don enjoyed collecting antique cars and was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He also loved to play piano. Don worked as a plumber and heating contractor in Illinois for over 20 years. After retiring, he opened a medical supply store in Illinois. Don and his wife of over 60 years, Gail Patricia Lauletta Utterback, moved to Rural Hall, North Carolina in 2015, where they spent the remainder of their lives. In addition to his parents and wife, Don was preceded in death by two daughters; Susan Utterback Johnson and Joanne Straton Utterback, and one son; Michael Utterback. He is survived by a son; Joel Utterback (Julie), one grandson; Dylan Utterback, five granddaughters; Kelsey Utterback, Lilly Klatt (Andy), Julie Belcher and family, Jessica Martinez (Ron), and Rachael Straton, and one sister; Karen Blucker. The family will hold a service at a later date.
