Donald "Don" Holt Faust

Mr. Donald "Don" Holt Faust, 89, of Lexington, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home surrounded by his family.

Don was born on December 29, 1935, to the late Claude Raymond Faust and Pearl Elizabeth Watkins Faust in Forsyth County, NC.

He graduated from Reynolds High School and Gaston College before enlisting in the Army Reserves. Don would continue on to become a Machine Engineer at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and would retire after 34 years of service. In his free time, Don enjoyed sailing on Lake Norman, reading, gardening, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons. He created the “Bub Club” in his basement where he and his grandsons would spend quality time together doing various activities.

Don and his wife, Frances, were faithful members of Friedberg Moravian Church for many years.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by an infant sister, Anne Katherine Faust.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Frances Eubanks Faust; daughter, Elizabeth Faust Bowers (Frank); three grandsons, Dr. Benjamin F. Bowers (Jessica), Nathan F. Bowers, and Rev. Anderson “Andy” D. Bowers (Grayson); three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Elizabeth Bowers, Thatcher Benjamin Bowers, and Lennon Michelle Bowers; sister-in-law, Donna E. Wall (Dudley); nephew, Sandy W. Wall (Michelle); and niece, Sally W. Massey (Rusty).

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 2:00PM at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Newsome, Jr., Rev. Dan Nelson, and Rev. Andy Bowers officiating.
