Donald Smith, Jr.

Mr. Donald Carlyle Smith, Jr. passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was born May 8, 1943 in Guilford County, NC to the late Donald Carlyle Smith, Sr. and Edith Catherine Kirkman Smith. Donald was an Army veteran and worked as a foreman doing concrete work.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Smith.

Surviving are; his loving son; Donald Carlyle Smith, III and his wife, Alesia Smith; one granddaughter, Ally; one sister, Kathryn Vernon; and many special nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colfax. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
