WALKERTOWN - Mr. Donald Ray Bryant, 68, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Donald was born December 14, 1943 in Forsyth County to the late James Henry and Pearl Glasscoe Bryant. Donald worked for Frederickson Trucking for more than 27 years before working for Jefferson Smurfit Trucking. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sell Bryant; and a brother, James Gray Bryant. Surviving are a son, Jeff Bryant (wife, Tracey) of Greensboro; a daughter, Tammy Leonard of Walkertown; three grandchildren, Patsy Ward (husband, Matt) of Whiteville, Christopher and Matthew Bryant; a sister-in-law, Myra Jean Bryant; a nephew, Timothy Bryant (wife, Crystal) of Winston-Salem; a great niece, Sarah Bryant; and a very dear friend, Karen Lowe. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Cronin officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday, July 10, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Forsyth Medical Center ICU Unit and Palliative Care team for their support during this difficult time.
