Donald Rayvon Baity

Mr. Donald Rayvon Baity, age 87 of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday evening December 23, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Donald was born in Davidson County, May 2, 1923 to the late Donald Wheeler and late Lillie Mae Sechrist Baity. He was a member of Union Tabernacle Church in Winston-Salem. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force, retired from Western Electric with 32 years of service and was a Boy Scout leader for 15 years. In addition to his parents Donald was preceded in death by his wife; Lucy Vanhoy Baity, one sister; Frankie Vaughn and a brother John Dolan Baity. Surviving are his daughters; Toby Louise (David) Kyle of Walnut Cove and Terry Donna Kramer of Raleigh. One grandson; Chris Overby of Walnut Cove. Two sisters; Helen Marks of Charlotte and Edith Watts of Thomasville. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 27, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Union Tabernacle Church in Winston-Salem by Pastor Herbert Mabe. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with military burial honors conducted by the American Legion Post 290 of King. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Sunday evening December 26th from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Union Tabernacle Church, P.O. Box 488, Rural Hall, NC 27045 or to the Kate B.
