Dominic Joseph Carroll

Mr. Dominic Joseph Carroll, 77, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Carroll was born on October 10, 1937, in Dublin, Ireland to the late Michael Carroll and Josephine Farrell Carroll. Dominic retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Winston-Salem. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Mr. Carroll is survived by one son, Michael Carroll of Winston-Salem; one brother, Joseph Carroll of Toronto, Ontario; former wife, Veronica Joyce of Dayton, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving friends and family members. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends following the service at Michael's home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Senior Services, Inc. Williams Adult Day Center, 231 Melrose St., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Carroll.
