Dollie Godfrey

Mrs. Dollie Augusta Hedgecock Godfrey, 99, passed away on June 9, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Dollie was born on September 18, 1922, to James Franklin Hedgecock, Sr., and Ethel Huffman Hedgecock in Forsyth County.  She was a graduate of Griffith High School.  Dollie enjoyed sewing, quilting and ceramics.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Carney Godfrey, three brothers, Frank Jr., Doug, and Kenneth Hedgecock and her son in law Devon Jordan.  Surviving are her loving daughter, Jeanne Jordan, grandson, Paul Jordan (Suzanne), two sisters, Parie Huffman, and Evelyn Reich, and a number of nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Salem Cemetery with Pastor Herb Tuten officiating.  The family would like to extend special thanks to the 8th floor Palliative Care staff at Forsyth Medical Center for their loving care that they showed Dollie and her family.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
