WINSTON-SALEM - Dionisios D. Paloumbas, 91, died on January 19 2011, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Paloumbas was born in Panetolion, Greece on April 4, 1919, to the late Dionisious D. Paloumbas and Maria Kappas Paloumbas. Mr. Paloumbas was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. He is survived by his wife Katherine Hondros Paloumbas, a daughter Maria Leris and husband George, two sons; Jimmy Paloumbas and wife Maria, George Paloumbas and wife Melissa, eight grandchildren; Dina and husband George, Jimmy, Dennis, Chris. Kathy, Dennis and wife Mary, Taylor and Maria, numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Greek Orthodox Church with Father Demetri Kangelaris, Father Thomas Guerry, Father George Vlahos and Father George Kiricoples officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7:00pm to 8:30pm Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the church with a Trisagon service at 7:30pm.
