Mr. Dino Vann Nixon, 55, passed away August 5, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center in Winston-Salem. He was born in Forsyth Co. on August 27, 1957. Mr. Nixon loved to hunt and loved his dog, Dolly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Nixon is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diane Nixon of the home, a daughter, Christy Nixon of Wallburg, a son, Chadwick Nixon of Midway, four grandchildren, Cameron Cannady, Issac Cannady, McKinley Nixon and Rylee Goins, his mother, Patsy ""Jean"" Nixon of Winston-Salem, his father, James ""Jim"" Nixon and wife Susie of Lexington, his grandmother, Ruby Tuttle of Kernersville, two sisters, Trina Joyce of Gibsonville and Celia Mathis of Rural Hall and a brother, James Ray Nixon of Florida. A memorial service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Tony Brown officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the funeral home chapel.
