Diane Swaim Pegram

Mrs. Doris Diane Swaim Pegram, 69, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017, at Forsyth Medical Center. Doris was born in Forsyth County on February 22, 1947, to the late Joseph Fair Swaim and Maude Mae Richardson Swaim. She was a member of Church of Christ at Ketners Chapel. Doris was a graduate of East Forsyth High School and was a long-time employee of Wachovia where she made numerous friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Pegram. Doris is survived by her daughter, Michelle Pegram of Newport News, VA; one sister, Jo Ann Shoaf of Winston-Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. No services will be scheduled for Mrs. Pegram. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mrs. Pegram.
