Diana McBride White

Mrs. Diana McBride White, 96, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Friday, March 7, 2025. She was born January 26, 1929, in Wilkes County, NC, to the late Charles Quincey McBride and Pearl Brown McBride. Diana was a faithful member at Germanton Baptist Church for 68 years. She retired from Walkertown Elementary as a teacher’s assistant after 20 years of service. Diana was a loving mother and grandmother. In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering at nursing homes and helping with bingo, walking, and painting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Harding White; and five siblings, Ruby Warren, Rosalie Rash, Velna Johnson, Elizabeth Bowers, and Elmer Quincey McBride. She is survived by her three sons, Michael (Donalee), Kenneth (Jovelyn) and Kevin White (Michelle); three grandchildren, Justin White (Margaret), Charles White, Diana White; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 6pm Monday, March 10, 2025, at Germanton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service beginning at 5pm at the church. Burial will take place 11am Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Germanton Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Germanton Baptist Church.
