Dewey William Ellis

KERNERSVILLE - Dewey William Ellis, 80, went to be with his Lord on March 31, 2013. He was born June 1, 1932 in Guilford Co. to the late Dewey Roland and Georgia Morton Ellis. Dewey was of the Baptist faith. He was a United States Air Force veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Mary Rose Pennell on January 21, 1959. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Jobe; and two brothers, Leroy and Thurman Ellis. Surviving are his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary Rose Ellis of the home; daughter, Roxanne Ellis Vuksic; son, Dewey Richard Ellis all of Kernersville; grandchildren, Tori and Tony Vuksic of Kernersville, Peyton Ellis and Tony Faircloth of Lewisville; and one sister, Faye Atkinson of Greensboro. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Chaplain Dave Howard officiating.
