Dewey Hobson Caruthers, Jr.

Kernersville – Dewey Hobson Caruthers, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. A proud lifetime resident of the area, he was born on October 12, 1953, in Forsyth County to the late Dewey Hobson, Sr. and Edna Ovella Caruthers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mirthala Gonzalez Caruthers; daughter, Edna Caruthers; sisters, Martha Caruthers and Ann Tucker; and many, many friends from all walks of life.

He was a very skilled man and a strong, loving father, husband, brother, and friend. Stubborn in the best way, he never gave up against anything and held on for all of his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held at 3:00-5:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem.
