Derek Gregory Prout

Winston-Salem- Mr. Derek Gregory Prout, 43, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2011. He was born November 16, 1967 in Guilford County to Lloyd Thomas Prout and Margaret Pitt Prout. He was a member of Ardmore Christian Church and was employed at Vann York Toyota of High Point. Derek was a graduate of Mt. Tabor High School and Appalachian State University and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America at Fairview Moravian Church. He was past Sifu of Cloud Forest Chin Woo Martial Arts Association. He is survived by his loving wife, Melisia Stanley Prout; two sons, Brandon and Cary Prout; three daughters, Tiffany Prout, Hannah Graves, and Ashley Prout; parents, Lloyd and Margaret Prout; a sister, Deidre Prout. He is also survived by many family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Ardmore Christian Church with Pastor David Woolard officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
