Derek Seigfried Breitenbach, Jr.

BELEWS CREEK - Derek Seigfried Breitenbach, Jr., 86, died Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Derek was born on August 4, 1926 in Cook County, Illinois, to the late Derek Seigfried and Carrie Rothchild Breitenbach. He was a member of Triad Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Derek was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Welling. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Jan Breitenbach; two sons, Edward Breitenbach of Manassas, VA and Kurt Breitenbach (wife, Kate) of Culpeper, VA; and two grandchildren, Michael and Maggie. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 24, 2012 at Triad Baptist Church with Dr. Robert G. Decker officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 26 at Mountain Valley Memorial Park in Big Rock, VA.
